Everything soft inside a car — seats, carpet, mats, headliner — is upholstery holding years of spilled drinks, road salt, food and pet hair, and it gets cleaned the way furniture does: pre-treat, agitate, rinse, extract. We bring that equipment to your driveway, so you never lose a day waiting on a shop.

What a real interior detail covers

Seats are vacuumed dry, pre-treated, then extracted panel by panel. Carpet gets the same, including the footwells and the strip under the front seats a household vacuum never reaches. Floor mats come out and are cleaned on the ground, both sides, so grit isn't pushed back into wet carpet.

Then the hard surfaces: door cards and their pockets, the console and cupholders, the shifter surround, the crumb trap around the seat belt buckles, the door jambs. Vents are blown out and wiped so the first blast of air doesn't put dust straight back on the dash. Trunk included, not an add-on.

Headliners are the exception. That fabric is glued to a thin board, and soaking it is how you get a sagging, stained roof — so we spot-clean with minimal moisture and stop before the adhesive is at risk. If a stain can't come out safely, we say so.

Embedded pet hair needs more than a vacuum

Dog and cat hair doesn't sit on cloth seats. It works down into the weave and anchors there, which is why you can vacuum a back seat twice and still pull hair off your coat.

Getting it out is mechanical. Rubber tools and stiff brushes drag the hair back up out of the fibers so a vacuum can take it, and the seams, seat rails and the gap behind the cushion get cleared by hand. On a weekly dog car, this is the slowest part of the job.

Spilled milk, coffee and car sickness

Odor is what people call about most, and it's usually misunderstood. Milk, soda and vomit don't stay on the carpet face — the liquid goes straight through into the jute backing and the foam padding underneath. That padding is where the smell lives, so wiping the surface or spraying a freshener does nothing to the source. The smell fades for two days and returns on the first warm afternoon.

The fix is treating the layer holding it: an enzyme product applied heavily enough to reach the padding, given time to break the residue down, then extracted back out. Seat foam holds a spill the same way. Two honest limits — a spill that sat for months may improve a lot without going to zero, and anything that reached the floor pan is a bigger job.

Cloth and leather are not the same job

Cloth and microfiber take water-based extraction well — heat, agitation and a strong rinse lift what's in the fibers, and hard extraction pulls the moisture back out. Leather is the opposite: a coated surface, where what looks like wear is usually dirt and body oil in the grain, worst on the driver's outer bolster. That comes off with a pH-appropriate cleaner and a soft brush, then a conditioner. No silicone shine — greasy seats are slippery and attract dust. Perforated seats get extra care so cleaner isn't driven into the holes.

Salt stains, and when to deal with them

December through March, every car here carries road salt inside. It rides in on boots and leaves the white crust and stiff patches on the driver's footwell by February. Salt is hygroscopic — it keeps pulling moisture out of the air, which is why a salted carpet smells damp for months and never really dries. Vacuuming can't touch salt crystallized inside the fibers; it has to be dissolved with warm water and flushed out by extraction. One pass after the last plow resets the interior for the year.

Interior wear is a line item a lease inspector writes down: stained carpet, marked seats, odor. A detail costs a fraction of what excess wear-and-tear charges run. Selling privately is the same math from the other side — buyers decide in the first ten seconds in the driver's seat, and photos of a clean interior are where the sale starts. Drying, and why we come to you

We extract hard rather than leaving water behind, so with the windows cracked an inch most interiors are dry to the touch in a few hours. Humid weather or a saturated seat needs longer; sealing the car up tight is the one thing that slows it down. All of this happens at your home or office — no drop-off, no waiting room.
